Modernisasi Evaluasi Pembelajaran PAI melalui Pengembangan Asesmen Kinerja Berbasis HOTS dan Authentic Learning

Abstrak

This study aims to develop performance assessment based on higher-order thinking skills and authentic learning in modernizing the evaluation of Islamic Education learning. The research employed a research and development method through needs analysis, instrument design, expert validation, limited trials, and product revision. The developed instruments consisted of performance observation sheets, assessment rubrics, and authentic tasks designed according to twenty-first-century learning characteristics. The findings revealed that the developed assessment demonstrated high validity, practicality, and effectiveness in measuring students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skills in Islamic Education learning. Furthermore, the implementation of performance assessment created a more contextual, active, and meaningful evaluation process, thereby supporting comprehensive competency development and improving the quality of learning evaluation in Islamic Education.
