This study aims to determine the level of physical literacy, body mass index (BMI), and the relationship between physical literacy and BMI among students participating in extracurricular basketball at SMA Negeri 1 Ciwidey. This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 38 students. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument (PPLI) was used to collect physical literacy data, while BMI data was obtained through height and weight measurements. The results showed that students’ physical literacy levels were in the high category. The majority of students had a BMI in the normal category, namely 68.4%. The correlation test showed a correlation coefficient of 0.057 with a significance value of 0.734 (p > 0.05). Therefore, there was no significant relationship between physical literacy and BMI among students participating in extracurricular basketball at SMA Negeri 1 Ciwidey. Conclusion: Physical literacy is not related to the body mass index of students participating in extracurricular basketball activities. Other factors, such as diet, lifestyle, physical activity outside of school, and genetics, have a greater influence on students’ body mass index.
