Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between mastery of
basic rhythmic gymnastics movements and the level of self-
regulation of seventh - grade students at SMPIT Insan Harapan
Karawang. A quantitative correlational method was employed with
a sample of 31 class VII B students selected through purposive
sampling. Data were collected using a rhythmic gymnastics
performance observation sheet (13 indicators) and a Likert-scale
self -regulation questionnaire (17 items). Analysis used Pearson
Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression. The
results revealed a significant positive relationship at a moderate
level with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.441 and significance of
0.013 (p < 0.05), with a contribution of 19.4% to students' self-
regulati on. It is concluded that rhythmic gymnastics positively
impacts students' self -regulation development.
