PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW TERHADAP PENINGKATAN TEKNIK DASAR PASSING ATAS BOLA VOLI SISWA KELAS XI SMKN 2 KARAWANG

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on improving the overhead passing skills of eleventh-grade students at SMKN 2 Karawang. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade students of SMKN 2 Karawang, totaling 700 students, while the sample comprised 35 students from class XI PM 2 selected through cluster random sampling. The research instrument used was the AAHPER Face Wall-Volley Test to measure volleyball overhead passing skills. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and Paired Sample t-Tests with SPSS software. The results indicated an improvement in students' overhead passing skills after the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. The mean pretest score increased from 54.19 to 78.32 in the posttest. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed, while the homogeneity test indicated homogeneous data. Hypothesis testing revealed a significant effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on improving students' volleyball overhead passing skills. Therefore, the Jigsaw cooperative learning model can be used as an effective learning alternative to enhance volleyball overhead passing skills among high school students.
