This study aimed to analyze the effect of implementing the deep learning approach on character education of vocational high school students at SMK Plus Sukaraja. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 68 students selected through purposive sampling technique from a population of 68 students in grades X and XII. The research instrument used a Likert scale questionnaire measuring four indicators of student character education: discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Data analysis was conducted using normality test (Shapiro-Wilk), homogeneity test (Levene Statistic), and paired sample t-test with SPSS version 25. The results showed that pretest and posttest data were normally distributed (Sig. 0.403 and 0.596) and homogeneous (Sig. 0.790). The hypothesis test result showed a t-value of 11,524 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of the implementation of the deep learning approach on character education of vocational high school students. The implementation of deep learning in learning over 12 meetings improved the values of student character education such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and sportsmanship through active, reflective, and meaningful learning processes. It can be concluded that the deep learning approach is effective to support the strengthening of character education at the vocational high school level.
