Abstract

Implementation of Character Values through School Culture (Descriptive Qualitative Research at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah II Leuwigoong Garut). This descriptive qualitative research aims to describe the strategy, implementation, obstacles, and solutions of school culture in instilling religious character values at MI Muhammadiyah II Leuwigoong Garut. Research subjects were determined through snowball sampling (principal, teachers, students, parents), with data collected via observation, interviews, documentation, and validated through triangulation. The results indicate that school culture development is planned collaboratively between the madrasah and parents. The implementation of religious character is carried out through routine habituation (congregational Dhuhur prayers, prayer, recitation) and teacher modeling to foster students' intrinsic spiritual awareness. Obstacles, including differences in student characters, lack of permanent imams, and gadget influences, are overcome through personal approaches, optimizing upper-grade students as imams/muadhins, and aligning educational patterns at home. In conclusion, a conducive school culture and consistent synergy are proven to succeed in building student discipline and religious responsibility.
