This study aims to analyze the physical condition of the West Java Tarung Derajat PON Pelatda male athletes based on several main components, namely flexibility, balance, leg explosive power, agility, and endurance. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with physical measurements through a series of standard tests.
The results showed that the average athlete flexibility was 20.3 cm with a standard deviation of 4.33, which is in the moderate to good category. In terms of balance, an average of 28.3 seconds was obtained with a standard deviation of 18.0, which indicates a fairly large variation between athletes. Leg explosive power had an average of 127.5 cm with a standard deviation of 13.2, which indicates that most athletes have adequate explosive strength. The average agility of athletes was 31.8 seconds with a standard deviation of 3.35, which is in the good category. Meanwhile, the average athlete endurance reached 46.5 points with a standard deviation of 5.15, which indicates a good level of fitness. Overall, the physical condition of the athletes of Pelatda PON Tarung Derajat is already in the good category, although there are still variations between individuals, especially in the aspect of balance. Therefore, a more specific and structured training program is needed to optimize the physical components that still vary. This finding confirms that physical condition is a crucial factor in the performance of Tarung Derajat athletes, so that coaching that focuses on improving physical fitness is an important step in preparing for high-level competitions.
