Abstract

Football is a sport that requires players to master fundamental techniques in order to perform effectively during a match. Among young athletes, dribbling and passing are considered essential skills because they support ball possession, team play, and the creation of attacking opportunities. This study aimed to describe the level of dribbling and passing skills of U-12 football players at Bina Rosada Soccer Academy. Descriptive quantitative approach was employed in this research. The participants consisted of 20 U-12 players selected through purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. Data were collected using dribbling and passing skill tests and were analyzed through descriptive statistics to determine the distribution of players' performance according to established ability categories. The findings revealed that dribbling skills were predominantly classified as moderate, accounting for 50% of the participants. Likewise, passing skills were mostly categorized as moderate, with the highest proportion reaching 45%. These results indicate that the players have acquired a sufficient level of basic technical ability, although further improvement is still required through structured, systematic, and age-appropriate training programs. The results of this study are expected to provide useful information for coaches in evaluating and developing more effective technical training programs, thereby supporting the improvement of youth football coaching and player development
