THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PHYSICAL FITNESS AND STUDENTS LEARNING MOTIVATION AT MA MATHOLI’UL ANWAR LAMONGAN

One of the compulsory subjects in senior high school is physical education, health and recreation, where teachers can apply learning materials to improve student fitness. This study was conducted to determine whether there is a relationship between the learning motivation of MA Matholi'ul Anwar students in grade XII and their physical fitness. This quantitative descriptive study was conducted. This study involved 80 students, consisting of 25 males and 55 females. This study applies test and measurement methods, with the 2024 TKPN test instrument used to measure physical fitness and also a Likert scale questionnaire to assess motivation. The results of the study conducted at MA Matholi'ul Anwar school show that the physical fitness level of grade XII students has an average of 1.01 and the motivation of grade XII students with an average of 2.59 and it is known that the dominant level of physical fitness is in the very low category and for dominant student motivation is in the high category. The results of this research indicate that there is no relationship between physical fitness and student learning motivation. This statement is proven by the results of the Spearman's test with a significance value of 0.406..
