This study aims to identify the condition and damage of volleyball nets in sports facilities in Garut Regency, focusing on the damages that occur on the nets. The research uses a descriptive quantitative approach to systematically describe the condition of volleyball nets. The population of the study includes all volleyball nets in sports facilities in Garut Regency, while the sample was selected using purposive sampling, choosing several facilities that represent various conditions in the region. Data was collected through direct observation of the physical condition of the nets, including damage, tension, size, and material strength. Additionally, interviews with sports facility managers were conducted to obtain information about the net’s usage duration and brand of the nets, as well as questionnaires filled out by those responsible for the use and maintenance of the nets at each facility. The results of the study show that the most common net damage occurs in the "broken" category (63 frequencies), followed by "torn" (50 frequencies), while nets still in good condition were recorded 45 times. Furthermore, this study also recommends the development of more durable net materials that meet standards, and further research involving a larger sample and more detailed data collection on environmental conditions of the courts, such as indoor and outdoor, which can affect the durability of the nets. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for improving sports facilities and standardizing maintenance in the future.
