Abstract

This study aims to map the themes, relationships, and developments in research trends regarding the integration of technology and fitness measurement in physical education in Scopus publications for the 2015–2025 period through bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Data was obtained from Scopus for the period 2015–2025 and yielded 116 articles that met the selection criteria. Publication metadata was exported (title, author, affiliation, year, abstract, and keywords) and then analyzed using VOSviewer with a focus on keyword co-occurrence mapping to identify dominant themes, inter-topic relationships, and indications of shifting trends based on network and overlay visualizations. The mapping results indicated physical education as a central theme strongly connected to the areas of health, physical activity/sports, learners, and technology and measurement topics. These findings confirm that current research is moving towards utilizing technology for more accurate fitness measurements, automated data recording, and faster analysis, thus supporting more measurable and data-driven physical education learning.
