Learning service technique in badminton is a fundamental skill that is crucial in physical education because it determines the rhythm of the game and mastery of advanced techniques. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of the effectiveness of various methods of teaching service technique in the context of physical education for the period 2015–2025. The method used was a systematic literature review by searching articles through Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed, DOAJ, SINTA, and Garuda databases. Keywords used included "physical education," "badminton," "service technique," "motor learning," and "game-based learning." Of the initial 80 articles, 25 met the inclusion criteria and were fully analyzed. The analysis showed that digital media-based approaches such as video modeling, slow-motion, and learning apps resulted in a 20–35% increase in serve accuracy, while structured repetitive practice significantly improved movement consistency within 4–6 weeks. Game-based approaches were also shown to increase learning motivation and skill retention, while motor factors such as eye-hand coordination (contributing 40%) and wrist strength (35%) significantly influenced the quality of serve technique. The main obstacles in schools include limited facilities, teacher competency in using technology, and limited duration of physical education (PJOK) lessons. The conclusion of this review is that effective service technique instruction must integrate technology, a game-based approach, and structured biomechanical training. Practical implications: Physical education (PJOK) teachers and coaches need to utilize digital media, provide specific feedback, and implement varied and sustainable training programs to improve students' serve accuracy and consistency
