Abstract

The aim of this research is to increase interest in learning about volleyball through modified rubber ball media among junior high school students in class VIII J of SMPN 1 Tarogong Kaler. This research method uses the PTK (Classroom Action Research) method. This research design in one PTK cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The population of this study was 38 students in class VIII J of SMP 1 Tarogong Klaer, divided into 18 male students and 20 female students. The data collection technique used was through tests and questionnaires regarding interest in learning volleyball and observation of the learning process. The data analysis technique used in this research is questionnaire observation and learning outcomes tests. This research procedure includes planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The percentage of completeness scores for class VIII J students at SMPN 1 Tarogong Kaler in the initial pre-cycle conditions was (3%) or a total of 3 students achieved learning completeness out of a total of 38 students, then in the first cycle there was an increase of (27%) or a total of 11 students and at the end of cycle II increased by (84%) or a total of 31 students who achieved learning completeness, so that the increase from the initial pre-cycle conditions to the end of cycle II was (80%).
