UNDERSTANDING OF SPORTS INJURY HANDLING IN VOLLEYBALL SPORTS COACHES IN GARUT DISTRICT

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of understanding of volleyball sports coaches in Garut Regency regarding handling sports injuries. The approach used is quantitative descriptive with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 35 statement items. Before being used, the questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability with the help of the SPSS 26 application. The results of the validity test showed that all statement items were valid with a validity level of 100%. Meanwhile, the results of the reliability test showed a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.968, which means that the questionnaire is very reliable. The data obtained were then analyzed using Microsoft Excel to calculate the percentage of each statement item and the percentage score of each coach. The results showed that the highest percentage of statement items reached 94% and the lowest was 68%, while the highest percentage of coach understanding was 94.86% and the lowest was 56%. The overall average of coach understanding of handling sports injuries was 83.31%, which is categorized as very good. Based on these results, it can be concluded that volleyball sports coaches in Garut Regency have a very good understanding of handling sports injuries.
