Peer Review Process
Articles submitted to the JPIF Editorial Board (JURNAL Pendidikan dan Ilmu Fisika) will be reviewed by the Chair of the Editorial Board to be adjusted to the scope of the Journal of Education and Physical Sciences. Articles will be scanned with the Turnitin anti-plagiarism program to ensure there are no elements of plagiarism, or that it does not exceed 20%. After the article meets the scope of the journal and the element of plagiarism is no more than 20%, the editor-in-chief assigns reviewers according to the field of science discussed in the article through Double Blind Peer Review. Double Blind Peer Review is a method of peer review of a scientific work that will be published in a scientific periodical, where the identities of the reviewer and author are hidden, so that the reviewer does not know whose article is being reviewed and the author also does not know who is reviewing the article. This method is used to maintain the objectivity of the review results. Each article will be reviewed by two reviewers. If the results of the two reviewers are conflicting, the chairman of the editorial board will appoint a third reviewer.

Prioritized based on empirical research,
Written in Indonesian or English (using Microsoft Word, Times New Rowman 11, 1.15 spacing, A-4)
Send to: https://journal.uniga.ac.id/index.php/jpif/index
2. Identification of the required documents; title, author's full name, affiliation, email, abstract (200 words, minimum content; objectives, methods, research results, conclusions, impact), and keywords (3-5 words).
3. The contents of the empirical research paper consist of Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, and Bibliography.
4. Introduction consisting of background, literature review (to compile the state of the art), objectives and problem formulation, written in one chapter without subtitles.
5. The method consists of a description of the type of research, data collection, data sources, data types, and data analysis. Written in paragraph form.
6. Results and discussion provide a number of important (original) field data obtained from questionnaires, surveys, documents, interviews, observations and other data collection techniques. Can be equipped with tables or graphs to clarify the results. All figures and tables should be placed in the center and numbered sequentially. Tables (see Table 1, Table 2,…) must be presented above a table containing a center alignment. Descriptive titles are placed after the table titles (see Table 1, Table 2,…) above each table. The table source must be placed on the table in the correct parallel position. Figures and tables should be mentioned in the related text.
7. Conclusion: write down the research results concisely and clearly then describe the logical consequences in developing Islamic education science and practice. The conclusion is not indented and uses Garamond 12 which is in bold.

Publication Ethics
The scientific publication code of ethics statement is a code of ethics statement for all parties involved in the scientific journal publication process, including: Managers, Editors, Bestari Partners, and Writers/Authors. This statement on the code of ethics for scientific publications refers to the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which essentially upholds three ethical values in publications, namely:
- Neutrality, namely free from conflict of interest in managing publications;
- Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers; And
- Honesty, namely free from Duplication, Fabrication, Falsification and Plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.
Guidelines for the code of ethics for scientific publications in the Garut University Journal of Education and Physical Sciences include:
1. Code of Ethics for Authors: Authors are the backbone of scientific publications, and they must uphold integrity and quality in each of their contributions. Several ethical principles that must be applied by authors in OJS journals include:
- Originality of Research: Authors must ensure that the work they submit is original and does not involve plagiarism or repetition of previously conducted research.
- Proper Citation: All sources used must be cited correctly, whether they are writings, ideas or data from other researchers. This helps prevent copyright infringement and gives appropriate credit to previous authors.
- Acknowledgment of Contributors: If others contributed to the research, the authors should list them as co-authors or provide appropriate acknowledgment of their contributions.
- Compliance with Writing Guidelines: Authors must follow the writing guidelines and requirements set by the journal. This includes writing format, word count, and article structure.
2. Editorial Responsibilities: Editors have a key role in ensuring the sustainability and integrity of scientific publications. They are responsible for maintaining ethical and quality standards in the editorial process. Some important aspects of publication ethics for editors at OJS journals include:
- Fair Peer Review: Editors must select competent and objective reviewers to evaluate submitted manuscripts. This process must be transparent and not based on personal preferences or irrelevant considerations.
- Privacy Protection: The personal information of authors and reviewers must be kept confidential by the editor. Personal data obtained in the editorial process must not be misused or communicated to others without permission.
- Handling Conflicts of Interest: If the editor has a conflict of interest that influences editorial decisions, such as personal or financial relationships with authors, the editor should avoid taking part in the assessment process or making decisions that could harm the integrity of the publication.
3. Role of Ethical Reviewers: As pillars in the editorial process, reviewers have a great responsibility to provide objective and constructive feedback to authors. Some key aspects of publication ethics that reviewers in OJS journals must practice include:
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review. Information or ideas obtained through the review process must not be misused or leaked without permission.
- Openness and Integrity: Reviewers must honestly express their opinions about the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript being reviewed. They must ensure that the criticism given is based on strong evidence and arguments, without any attempt to undermine or unfairly influence the assessment results.
