Abstract

This study aims to examine the transformative moral education model in 21st-century learning and to analyze its characteristics, impacts, and implementation challenges using a qualitative approach with a library research method by analyzing various journals and other relevant scientific sources published within the last five years related to moral education and 21st-century learning. The findings show that transformative moral education emphasizes the internalization of values through contextual, reflective, collaborative, and experiential approaches, implemented through the integration of 21st-century skills, the use of technology, project-based learning, and the strengthening of social and emotional learning. This model has positive impacts on students’ character formation, increased moral awareness, critical reflective thinking abilities, as well as social attitudes such as empathy and responsibility. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including the influence of digital globalization, low digital ethical literacy, limited teacher competence, and suboptimal curriculum implementation. Therefore, synergy among schools, families, and society is required, along with continuous pedagogical innovation, so that transformative moral education can be effectively applied in responding to the challenges of modern education.
