PELATIHAN LITERASI DAN PENCATATAN KEUANGAN SEDERHANA DI SMA PUI GEGESIK CIREBON

Due to the low level of financial literacy among adolescents, which could potentially hinder their future economic independence, a community service activity was conducted at SMA PUI Gegesik, focusing on basic financial record-keeping training for students. The main objective of this training was to improve students' understanding of the importance of financial record-keeping, equip them with the skills to keep simple income and expense records, and foster the habit of managing pocket money effectively. The implementation method consisted of three stages: delivering basic financial record-keeping material, practicing recording daily income and expenses, and group discussions to reflect on the results of the students' recording. This activity was supported by the provision of a simple recording format that can be used independently. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the importance of financial record-keeping and a new awareness of managing income and expenses. Although there were still challenges in achieving consistent record-keeping, students began to be able to distinguish between needs and wants and showed enthusiasm for continuing the practice of financial record-keeping. The long-term impact of this training is expected to be the formation of positive financial management habits, so that students can develop into more independent and disciplined individuals, and prepare themselves to face future economic challenges.
