Abstrak

The heyday of the Abbasid dynasty or the peak "Golden Age" occurred during the time of the caliph Harun Ar-Rashid and his son al-Ma'mun. In this paper, we will explain the relationship between the caliph and the ulama who brought the Abbasid dynasty to its peak. The method used in this paper is library research. This type of research is historical research by looking for the relationship between caliphs and scholars through historical documents in the form of books or scientific articles that discuss the problems in question. The results of this study indicate that there is a link between caliphs and scholars in advancing science during the Abbasid dynasty. The existence of mutual cooperation between the caliphs and the scholars brought the Abbasid dynasty to its peak of glory.
