Penelitian dilakukan di Kelompok Ternak Itik Putri Mandiri berada di Dusun Sumberjati Rt 02 Rw 03 Desa Pusaka Jaya Selatan, Kecamatan Cilebar, Kabupaten Karawang pada tahun 2012. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi produksi telur itik di Kelompok Ternak Itik Putri Mandiri Kabupaten Karawang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan adalah survei dan etnoghrafi dengan teknik wawancara secara langsung dan menganalisis kondisi lokasi peternakan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi telur itik di Kelompok Ternak Itik Putri Mandiri pada saat penelitian sedang mengalami penurunan hingga mencapai 50 %. Hal ini dikarenakan itik sedang mengalami molting (rontok bulu). Produksi telur umur 60 minggu sampai 62 minggu mengalami peningkatan sampai 50 %. Produksi telur mulai menurun pada umur 63 minggu sampai umur 67 minggu setelah itu produksi mulai meningkat lagi.

Abstract

The study was conducted in Livestock Ducks Group Putri Mandiri located in the hamlet Sumberjati Rt 02 Rw 03 Pusaka Jaya Selatan Village, District Cilebar, Karawang in 2012. This study aims to determine the potential production of duck eggs Ducks Livestock Group Putri Mandiri Karawang. The method used in the implementation was the survey and interview techniques etnoghrafi with direct and analyze the location of the farm.
Resulted showed that the production of duck eggs in Livestock Ducks Group Putri Mandiri when the study was decreased up to 50%. This is because the ducks were having molting (fur loss). Egg production age of 60 weeks to 62 weeks increased to 50%. Egg production began to decline at the age of 63 weeks until the age of 67 weeks after the production began to increase again.
