FORMULASI DAN UJI STABILITAS FISIK MASKER GEL PEEL-OFF EKSTRAK ETANOL BERAS KETAN HITAM (Oryza sativa L. glutinosa) SEBAGAI ANTIOKSIDAN

Abstrak


Antioxidants have diverse physiological roles in the body, including inhibiting the oxidation process. Antioxidants found in some plants including black sticky rice (Oryza sativa L. glutinosa). Research on the formulation and testing of the physical stability of peel-off gel mask ethanol extract of black sticky rice (Oryza sativa L. glutinosa) has been conducted as an antioxidant. The purpose of this study was to determine whether preparations made with variations in the concentration of ethanol extract of black sticky rice, namely F1 = 0.04%; F2 = 0.2%, and F3 = 0.4% have good antioxidant activity and have physical stability that meets the requirements. Antioxidant activity testing was carried out using the DPPH method. Physical evaluation of peel-off gel mask which includes organoleptic observation, pH measurement, homogeneity test, drying time speed test, freeze and thaw test, centrifuge test and safety test (irritation). The results showed the formulation of preparations that have been made to have antioxidant activity with the greatest antioxidant potential at a concentration of 0.4%. The peel-off gel mask of ethanol extract black sticky rice showed stable during storage
